Weronika Antoł is joining the team as a post-doctoral researcher. She will be engaged in the Sonata project "Ferment in the family: alcohol hormesis in workers of the honeybee Apis mellifera" (see previous post). Weronika has recently completed her PhD at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków.

In addition, Daniele Camarda from the University of Catania joins us for a month-long internship. Daniele will focus on genetic research on tardigrades under the joint supervision of Daniel and Matteo.

On a related note, we recently hosted Monika Opałek from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków for a short internship. During her stay with us, Monika helped fine-tune some protocols for the ongoing physiological analyses in the Sonata project. Very best of luck with her future endeavors!
